New Zealand express pacer Adam Milne has officially registered for the much-anticipated Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 Player Draft, adding to the excitement for the upcoming season. The draft is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 11 January 2025, in the scenic port city of Gwadar, Balochistan. Details regarding the start time of the event will be announced soon.
The PSL’s official social media accounts confirmed Milne’s participation with a banner post captioned, “Kiwi Speedster Alert! Adam Milne enters the PSL Draft.” The 32-year-old pacer has been a prominent figure in New Zealand’s cricket setup since his T20I debut in 2012. Over the course of his career, Milne has played 53 T20Is, taking 57 wickets at an impressive average of 24.98. Known for his raw pace, Milne’s career has been hindered by injuries, but he remains one of New Zealand’s fastest bowlers.
Milne brings a wealth of experience from international T20 leagues, having played in the Big Bash League (BBL), The Hundred Men’s Competition, Indian Premier League (IPL), and the Vitality Blast. His inclusion in the PSL draft adds firepower to the pool of players available for franchises to pick.
With Milne’s registration, he becomes the fifth New Zealand player and the 24th overall to enter the PSL 10 Player Draft. Other Kiwi stars already in the mix include explosive batters Colin Munro, Daryl Mitchell, and Martin Guptill, as well as veteran pacer Tim Southee.
The PSL 10 Player Draft promises to be a star-studded affair, with several international cricketing icons signing up. The list includes players like David Warner, Rassie van der Dussen, Rilee Rossouw, Matthew Short, Gudakesh Motie, Alex Hales, Luke Wood, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Tom Curran, David Willey, Dawid Malan, Jason Roy, Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, and Sikandar Raza.
The addition of Adam Milne and other global stars to the PSL draft highlights the league’s growing reputation as one of the premier T20 tournaments worldwide. Fans eagerly await the draft day to see which franchises secure these top-tier players, setting the stage for a thrilling tenth season of the PSL.
