Karachi Kings, in preparation for the PSL 10 draft, have made the bold decision to relegate three key players: captain Shan Masood, pacer Hasan Ali, and leg-spinner Zahid Mahmood. This strategic move aims to restructure the team and create space in the Platinum category.
Masood, who led the team in PSL 9, was a standout performer with 370 runs in 10 matches, averaging 41.11. Hasan Ali, despite a promising season, was relegated to make room for new talent. He had taken 10 wickets in 8 matches, contributing significantly but not enough to retain his Platinum category spot. Zahid Mahmood also saw his spot in the squad revoked despite his strong performance with the ball.
The PSL 10 draft, which will take place on January 11, 2025, will see Karachi Kings looking to acquire fresh talent and strengthen their squad further. With these changes, the franchise is aiming to enhance its chances for a successful season by investing in players who can contribute to both performance and leadership.
