Google introduces a new initiative to support Pakistani AI businesses.

AI Academy would have access to Google's worldwide specialists for personalized advice and assistance. There would be chances to network and work together with other AI startups in the area.

ISLAMABAD: In a press release on Monday, Google announced the creation of the AI Academy, a new initiative designed to support the development of AI businesses in Pakistan and the Asia-Pacific region.

According to a press release from Google's PR agency, the goal of the action is to foster new cross-border innovations and collaborations that will enable the sharing of knowledge, ideas, and resources to speed up the development of AI solutions and assist the APAC area in becoming a "global hub" for AI research.

The press release stated, "To help and accelerate the growth of artificial intelligence startups in Pakistan and the APAC region, Google for Startups has today introduced a new program called AI Academy." The initiative aims to unite over 20 startups that are creating AI-driven technologies.
 
A Google Cloud Credit of up to $350,000 would also be added to the startup's account to enable AI development and testing, and The AI Academy would get access to Google's worldwide AI specialists for one-on-one coaching and support. Opportunities to network and work together with other AI firms in the area would also be offered, according to the press release.
According to Google, the AI Academy was created to help companies get to market quickly so they could create a "proof of concept" and product roadmap and quickly validate their AI solutions. In addition to quickening their route to success, the expedited procedure "will demonstrate the tangible value of their innovation in the field of artificial intelligence."

Farhan S. Qureshi, the country director of Google Pakistan, stated that the launch of the AI Academy program demonstrates Google's dedication to advancing artificial intelligence research and development throughout the Asia-Pacific region. "We hope that local startup companies will take advantage of this opportunity to improve their AI solutions and further strengthen the AI ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region," he stated, citing Pakistan as a significant market. The news announcement stated that the deadline for submitting an application to the program was August 16.
